OUR STORY

Tempora Food Industry started over 18 years ago when its founders were food hunting in Ipoh and were amazed by the taste of fried durian. On the way back to Kuala Lumpur, they posited how Malaysian fruits could be further processed and elevated from its natural form. This prompted the establishment of Tempora Food Industry Sdn Bhd in 2005 as their first step in sharing their favorite local fruits around the world.

In order to preserve the authentic taste and freshness of the local fruit during processing, Tempora Food Industry founders teamed up with Professor Huang, a Taiwanese food technologist to research and develop high-quality durian puree with a rich taste and a lingering fragrance. Over the years, Tempora Food Industry continued to innovate in the domain of the company's flagship durian products. Today, Tempora Food Industry’s products are sold throughout South East Asia, Hong Kong, and China. 

Over the years, Tempora Food Industry has expanded its production sites in Selangor and Perak to a total of more than 50,000 sq ft, with a production capacity of more than 500 tons per annum to satisfy market demand.

  • Adheres to strict food safety protocol and possess Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Malaysia’s Good Agricultural Practice (MyGAP), HALAL (certified by JAKIM), and United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) certifications

  • Registered as a qualified exporter to China with the General Administration of Customs China (GACC) with our own warehouse in China

2005

Tempora Food Industry Sdn Bhd was established in a small factory in Subang 2 to share the taste of its founders’ favourite local fruits with the world. The company partners with Professor Hwang, an expert in Food Technology from Taiwan to develop a Durian Puree with a rich taste and lingering aroma.

Tempora Food Industry also unveiled the Durian Tempura, a special durian paste with a crispy outer layer and enticed many customers.

2006

Tempora Food Industry obtained HALAL (certified by JAKIM) certification.

2008

Tempora Food Industry obtained Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certificates. The company started its first exportation to China and Singapore.

2012

Tempora Food Industry continued to expand its business and started exporting to Hong Kong.

2013

Tempora Food Industry was honored to supply durian tempura to The Big Royalty Banquet Table in Putrajaya. The durian tempura was served to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, President of China, former Prime Minister of Canada, and many other distinguished guests.

2015

Tempora Food Industry supplies products to Hui Lau Shan (HLS), one of the biggest food and beverage chain companies in Hong Kong,  Hakka Restaurant and Chuai Heng Restaurant Sdn Bhd.

2017

The company expanded into a 40,000 sq ft factory plot in Shah Alam, increasing production capacity to 500 tons of products per annum. 

Tempora Food Industry also obtained Certification of Farm Registration from the Department of Agriculture, Malaysia.

2018

Tempora Food Industry became the Durian Puree supplier of Kawan Food Bhd, Baker’s Boy Marketing, Today Bakeries Products, Bisgood Food Corporation, YM Pastry Manufacturing, Huasin Food, and many other local companies. The company also started a partnership venture with Grand Durio.

Tempora Food Industry continues to expand its export business and was selected to be the supplier for The Food Source Ltd, Hong Kong

2019

In order to ensure product safety, Tempora Food Industry Sdn Bhd has also obtained Certification of Processing Facility, Packing House Registration from the Department of Agriculture, Malaysia.

Tempora Food Industry Sdn Bhd obtained certification from the General Administration of Customs China (GACC), as one of the few approved companies to export durian goods to China. In a joint press conference in Guangzhou, China, Tempora Food Industry Sdn Bhd, and Durian Power launched durian products in the Chinese market.

Tempora Food Industry further expanded its 13,000 sq ft durian flesh processing facility in Perak.

2020

Tempora Food Industry started supplying to LLAOLLAO enabling the launch of Frozen Durian Cream Cheese Yogurt.

2021

Tempora Food Industry obtained a Certificate of Assurance from United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The company was selected to be the supplier to Angliss, China, a global food ingredient chain supplier.
